JATIMTIMES – Pemerintah Kota Blitar mulai mematangkan penyusunan city branding sebagai strategi memperkuat identitas daerah sekaligus meningkatkan daya saing di tingkat nasional maupun global. Komitmen tersebut diwujudkan melalui Seminar City Branding Kota Blitar yang menghadirkan pakar pemasaran dunia, Hermawan Kartajaya, Founder dan Chairman MarkPlus Inc., sebagai pembicara utama, Selasa (23/6/2026), di Balai Kusumowicitro, Kota Blitar.

Seminar yang digelar Bapperinda Kota Blitar itu diikuti sekitar 160 peserta yang terdiri atas jajaran Forkopimda, organisasi perangkat daerah, akademisi, pelaku usaha, pelaku ekonomi kreatif, budayawan, komunitas, media, hingga tokoh masyarakat. Pada kesempatan yang sama, Pemerintah Kota Blitar juga menyerahkan penghargaan kepada para pemenang Lomba Inovasi Teknologi (Linotek) dan Lomba Inovasi Perangkat Daerah (Loverda) Tahun 2026.

City Branding Bukan Sekadar Logo

Wali Kota Blitar H. Syauqul Muhibbin atau yang akrab disapa Mas Ibin mengatakan, penyusunan city branding bukan sekadar menghasilkan logo atau slogan baru. Lebih dari itu, city branding merupakan ikhtiar bersama untuk membangun identitas kota yang mampu memperkuat daya saing sekaligus memperkenalkan potensi Kota Blitar kepada masyarakat luas.

"City branding bukan sekadar logo atau slogan. Lebih dari itu, city branding adalah ikhtiar bersama untuk memperkuat identitas, meningkatkan daya saing, dan memperkenalkan potensi Kota Blitar kepada dunia," ujar Mas Ibin.

Menurutnya, Kota Blitar memiliki modal sejarah yang kuat sebagai Bumi Bung Karno, tempat bersemayam Proklamator sekaligus penggali nilai nilai Pancasila. Warisan sejarah tersebut menjadi identitas yang harus terus dijaga, sekaligus diterjemahkan menjadi kekuatan pembangunan di era modern.

Mas Ibin menegaskan, perkembangan zaman menuntut setiap daerah memiliki identitas yang jelas dan mampu beradaptasi dengan perubahan. Karena itu, nilai nasionalisme dan semangat perjuangan yang menjadi karakter Kota Blitar harus dikemas menjadi citra kota yang relevan dengan kebutuhan masa kini.

"Blitar bukan kota yang biasa. Kita adalah Bumi Bung Karno. Semangat nasionalisme, perjuangan, dan nilai nilai Pancasila harus menjadi wajah Kota Blitar di mata dunia. Namun kita juga tidak boleh hanya romantis dengan masa lalu. Nilai luhur itu harus kita terjemahkan ke dalam bahasa masa depan," katanya.

Ia menambahkan, keberhasilan city branding tidak hanya bergantung pada identitas visual. Citra Kota Blitar justru dibangun melalui kualitas pelayanan publik, kebersihan lingkungan, keramahan masyarakat, hingga daya saing produk lokal yang dihasilkan.

"Logo dan slogan tidak akan memiliki daya jika hanya terpampang di baliho atau kop surat. City branding harus hidup dalam pelayanan publik yang ramah, kebersihan kota, keramahan masyarakat, dan kualitas produk lokal. Kita semua adalah duta Kota Blitar," tegasnya.

Mas Ibin juga mengajak seluruh pemangku kepentingan untuk membangun komitmen bersama dalam menyukseskan penyusunan city branding. Menurutnya, kolaborasi pemerintah, dunia usaha, akademisi, komunitas, hingga generasi muda menjadi kunci agar identitas Kota Blitar benar benar mampu memberi dampak terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi, investasi, dan sektor pariwisata.

Strategi Perkuat Identitas dan Daya Saing Kota

Sementara itu, Kepala Bapperinda Kota Blitar, Widodo Saptono Johanes, mengatakan penyusunan city branding menjadi langkah strategis untuk memperkuat posisi Kota Blitar di tengah persaingan antarwilayah yang kian kompetitif. Kota Blitar, kata dia, memiliki kekayaan sejarah, budaya, serta potensi ekonomi yang perlu dipromosikan secara terarah melalui strategi pencitraan daerah yang terintegrasi.

Mengusung tema "Identitas Kuat, Daya Saing Hebat dari Warisan Kepemimpinan Menuju Masa Depan Mendunia", seminar tersebut menjadi bagian dari tahapan penyusunan city branding yang sebelumnya diawali dengan riset, studi pendahuluan, forum diskusi kelompok, serta analisis data yang melibatkan berbagai unsur masyarakat dan perangkat daerah.
Widodo mengatakan, kehadiran Hermawan Kartajaya diharapkan mampu memperkaya perspektif Pemerintah Kota Blitar dalam merumuskan city branding yang kuat dan berkelanjutan.

"Kami ingin city branding Kota Blitar benar benar lahir dari identitas daerah dan mampu menjadi pengungkit daya saing di masa depan," ujarnya.

Melalui kehadiran Hermawan Kartajaya, Pemerintah Kota Blitar berharap memperoleh perspektif strategis mengenai penyusunan hingga implementasi city branding yang mampu memperkuat citra daerah. Strategi tersebut diharapkan dapat menarik investasi, meningkatkan kunjungan wisatawan, mendorong pertumbuhan ekonomi kreatif, sekaligus memperluas peluang kesejahteraan masyarakat

"Harapan kami, city branding ini tidak hanya memperkuat identitas Kota Blitar, tetapi juga menjadi penggerak investasi, pariwisata, dan ekonomi kreatif yang berdampak langsung bagi kesejahteraan masyarakat," ujar Widodo.

Inovasi Dukung Pembangunan Daerah

Selain seminar, Pemerintah Kota Blitar melalui Bapperinda juga memberikan penghargaan kepada para pemenang Linotek dan Loverda 2026. Kedua ajang tersebut menjadi wadah untuk mendorong lahirnya berbagai inovasi teknologi, meningkatkan kualitas pelayanan publik, serta memperkuat tata kelola pemerintahan yang semakin efektif, efisien, dan responsif.

Pemkot Blitar berharap inovasi yang lahir melalui Linotek dapat diimplementasikan oleh perangkat daerah sesuai kebutuhan pembangunan, sedangkan karya kreatif yang dihasilkan dalam Loverda dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai media promosi resmi daerah. Seluruh rangkaian kegiatan itu menjadi bagian dari komitmen Pemerintah Kota Blitar dalam membangun daerah yang inovatif, berdaya saing, dan siap melangkah menuju kota masa depan.
