JATIMTIMES - Pemerintah menetapkan sejumlah perubahan dalam pelaksanaan Masa Pengenalan Lingkungan Sekolah (MPLS) tahun 2026. Salah satu perubahan yang paling mencolok adalah penambahan durasi kegiatan dari sebelumnya tiga hari menjadi lima hari.

Ketentuan tersebut diatur dalam Peraturan Menteri Pendidikan Dasar dan Menengah (Permendikdasmen) Nomor 12 Tahun 2026 tentang Masa Pengenalan Lingkungan Sekolah. Aturan baru MPLS ini menjadi pedoman bagi sekolah dalam menyelenggarakan pengenalan sekolah yang lebih terarah, aman, dan ramah bagi peserta didik baru.

Sekretaris Direktorat Jenderal Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini, Pendidikan Dasar, dan Pendidikan Menengah (Sesditjen PAUD Dasmen), Eko Susanto, menjelaskan bahwa terdapat empat perubahan mendasar dalam pelaksanaan MPLS tahun ini. Salah satunya berkaitan dengan lamanya kegiatan yang kini ditetapkan selama lima hari.

“Dalam ketentuan Permendikdasmen Nomor 12 Tahun 2026, kita atur bahwa pelaksanaannya lima hari,” ujar Eko dalam Webinar Solusi MPLS Ramah Tahun 2026 yang disiarkan secara daring, dikutip pada Selasa (23/6/2026).

Meski demikian, ketentuan durasi tersebut dapat disesuaikan untuk sekolah berasrama, Sekolah Luar Biasa (SLB), maupun sekolah layanan khusus. Setiap penyesuaian yang dilakukan wajib dilaporkan kepada Dinas Pendidikan setempat atau Kementerian Pendidikan Dasar dan Menengah.

Pengurus OSIS dan MPK Dapat Membantu Pelaksanaan MPLS

Dalam aturan terbaru ini, pelaksanaan MPLS tetap menjadi tanggung jawab panitia yang terdiri atas kepala sekolah, guru, dan tenaga kependidikan. Namun, sekolah juga diperbolehkan melibatkan murid yang menjadi pengurus Organisasi Siswa Intra Sekolah (OSIS) atau Majelis Perwakilan Kelas (MPK), khususnya di jenjang SMP serta SMA/SMK.

Kendati demikian, keterlibatan mereka tidak dilakukan secara sembarangan. Eko menegaskan bahwa siswa yang dilibatkan harus memiliki karakter baik dan tidak pernah terlibat dalam tindakan kekerasan maupun perundungan.

“Pengurus OSIS atau MPK yang terlibat membantu kepanitiaan dengan syarat utama berkarakter baik, tidak memiliki riwayat tindak kekerasan agar tetap pelaksanaannya aman dan positif,” jelasnya.

Syarat Murid yang Bisa Menjadi Panitia MPLS

Berdasarkan Permendikdasmen Nomor 12 Tahun 2026, siswa yang dapat membantu penyelenggaraan MPLS harus memenuhi sejumlah persyaratan berikut:

• Merupakan pengurus OSIS, anggota MPK, atau pengurus organisasi ekstrakurikuler di sekolah.

• Tidak memiliki kecenderungan perilaku buruk maupun riwayat sebagai pelaku tindak kekerasan atau perundungan (bullying).

• Apabila sekolah belum memiliki OSIS, MPK, ataupun organisasi ekstrakurikuler, peserta didik tetap dapat dilibatkan dengan memenuhi syarat berikut:

• Memiliki prestasi akademik dan/atau nonakademik.

• Mempunyai kemampuan interpersonal atau komunikasi yang baik.

Program MPLS Harus Disusun Secara Terstruktur

Sebelum kegiatan dimulai, panitia diwajibkan menyusun program MPLS yang kemudian ditetapkan oleh kepala sekolah. Program tersebut sekurang-kurangnya memuat beberapa komponen penting, antara lain:

• Rangkaian kegiatan MPLS.

• Jadwal pelaksanaan dan metode penyampaian materi.

• Anggaran pelaksanaan kegiatan.

• Ketentuan lain yang berkaitan dengan penyelenggaraan MPLS.

Pemerintah juga menyediakan panduan resmi yang dapat dijadikan acuan oleh sekolah dalam menyusun kegiatan MPLS Ramah. Informasi tersebut dapat diakses melalui laman resmi Kemendikdasmen di MPLS Ramah Kemendikdasmen.

Dengan aturan baru ini, pemerintah berharap pelaksanaan MPLS 2026 tidak hanya menjadi ajang pengenalan lingkungan sekolah, tetapi juga mampu menciptakan suasana belajar yang aman, inklusif, dan mendukung pembentukan karakter positif bagi peserta didik baru.
