JATIMTIMES – Ratusan umat Hindu mengikuti persembahyangan Hari Raya Galungan dan Kuningan di Pura Jagat Girinatha, Kelurahan Penganjuran, Banyuwangi, Rabu (17/6/2026). Perayaan berlangsung khidmat dengan dihadiri tokoh agama, umat Hindu, serta jajaran Polresta Banyuwangi.

Kegiatan diawali dengan menghaturkan banten, dilanjutkan pembacaan sloka, Puja Trisandya, dan Panca Sembah sebagai bagian dari rangkaian ibadah umat Hindu dalam memperingati Hari Raya Galungan dan Kuningan.

Dalam kesempatan tersebut, Kapolresta Banyuwangi Kombes Pol. Dr. Rofiq Ripto Himawan hadir bersama sejumlah pejabat Polresta Banyuwangi untuk bersilaturahmi dan menyampaikan ucapan selamat kepada umat Hindu yang sedang merayakan hari besar keagamaannya.

Dalam sambutannya, Kapolresta berharap perayaan Galungan dan Kuningan membawa kedamaian serta memperkuat nilai-nilai kebersamaan di tengah masyarakat yang beragam.

"Kami hadir untuk membersamai umat Hindu dalam menjalankan ibadah Hari Raya Galungan dan Kuningan. Polresta Banyuwangi berkomitmen memastikan seluruh rangkaian kegiatan keagamaan dapat berlangsung dengan aman, nyaman, dan penuh kekhidmatan," ujar Kapolresta Banyuwangi.

Selain menghadiri kegiatan persembahyangan, Kapolresta Banyuwangi juga menyerahkan bantuan berupa peralatan kebersihan dan nasi kotak kepada pengurus serta umat yang hadir di pura tersebut.

Hari Raya Galungan dan Kuningan merupakan perayaan penting bagi umat Hindu yang dimaknai sebagai kemenangan Dharma atau kebenaran melawan Adharma atau kejahatan. Perayaan ini juga menjadi momentum untuk bersyukur kepada Tuhan Yang Maha Esa sekaligus menghormati para leluhur.

Persembahyangan berlangsung lancar hingga selesai dengan diikuti ratusan umat sedharma dari berbagai wilayah di Banyuwangi. Kehadiran berbagai unsur masyarakat dalam perayaan tersebut turut mencerminkan kehidupan keberagaman dan toleransi yang selama ini terjalin di Kabupaten Banyuwangi.
