JATIMTIMES - Kabar baik bagi masyarakat Malang Raya yang mengandalkan transportasi publik. Pemerintah Provinsi Jawa Timur memastikan layanan Trans Jatim akan diperluas melalui pembukaan koridor 2 yang menghubungkan wilayah Kabupaten Malang dan Kota Malang.
Koridor baru tersebut ditargetkan mulai beroperasi pada Oktober 2026 dan akan melayani perjalanan dari Terminal Talangagung di Kepanjen menuju Terminal Arjosari di Kota Malang. Kehadiran rute anyar ini sekaligus memperluas jangkauan layanan Trans Jatim hingga wilayah Malang Selatan yang selama ini belum terlayani secara langsung.

Kepala Seksi Sarana Angkutan Jalan Dinas Perhubungan Jawa Timur Cito Eko Yuly Saputro mengatakan, proses penyiapan koridor baru kini telah memasuki tahap akhir. "Untuk Trans Jatim di wilayah Malang sudah final. Memang nanti akan ditambahi di koridor 2. Rencana estimasi akan dijalankan bulan Oktober," kata Cito.
Ia menjelaskan, koridor 2 akan menghubungkan Terminal Talangagung, Terminal Hamid Rusdi, hingga berakhir di Terminal Arjosari. Terminal Hamid Rusdi nantinya berfungsi sebagai titik transit utama sebelum bus melanjutkan perjalanan menuju wilayah utara Kota Malang.
"Origin-destination-nya untuk koridor 2 itu keberangkatannya dari daerah Talangagung, Kepanjen, sampai Terminal Hamid Rusdi. Nanti melalui Hamid Rusdi menuju ke Terminal Arjosari," ujarnya.
Meski titik keberangkatan dan tujuan akhir telah dipastikan, Dishub Jatim masih mematangkan jalur yang akan dilintasi armada. Pembahasan teknis mengenai ruas jalan yang digunakan dijadwalkan berlangsung dalam rapat pekan depan.
"Untuk detailnya, kira-kira lewat jalan mana, ruas jalan mana, itu menunggu kita rapat di hari Rabu mendatang. Tetapi pemetaannya, titiknya sudah difinalkan, yaitu Terminal Talangagung melewati Terminal Hamid Rusdi, terus akhir tujuannya adalah Terminal Arjosari," jelasnya.
Menurut Cito, kehadiran koridor baru ini menjadi langkah penting dalam memperluas layanan transportasi masal di Malang Raya. Jika koridor pertama lebih banyak melayani kawasan barat, koridor 2 akan memperkuat konektivitas menuju wilayah timur Kota Malang dan Kabupaten Malang bagian selatan.
Apabila seluruh tahapan berjalan sesuai jadwal, operasional koridor baru akan dimulai pada Oktober mendatang setelah memperoleh persetujuan resmi dari Pemerintah Provinsi Jawa Timur.
"Rencana Insya Allah apabila tidak ada kendala, sesuai dengan timeline, sesuai dengan schedule yang berlaku, kita akan dijalankan atas seizin Ibu Gubernur dan Bapak Kepala Dinas pastinya di bulan Oktober," ungkapnya.

Untuk mendukung operasional koridor 2, Dishub Jatim menyiapkan 15 unit bus yang terdiri dari 14 armada operasional dan satu armada cadangan. Jumlah tersebut sama dengan armada yang saat ini melayani koridor 1 Trans Jatim di Malang Raya.
"Armada yang disiapkan sementara kami itu 14 operasional, 1 cadangan," ungkapnya.
Sementara itu, jadwal keberangkatan dan interval kedatangan bus masih dalam tahap perhitungan. Pemerintah akan melakukan survei waktu tempuh setelah rute final ditetapkan untuk menentukan headway dan timetable yang paling efektif.
"Kita masih belum tahu waktu tempuhnya. Kalau kita sudah mengetahui finalisasi rutenya melalui ruas jalan mana, baru kita bisa menyurvei kira-kira berapa menit sampainya, baru kita bisa menghitung waktu headway dan timetable-nya," terang Cito.
Meski demikian, jam operasional koridor 2 diperkirakan tidak akan jauh berbeda dengan koridor 1 yang telah lebih dulu beroperasi. Bahkan, tidak menutup kemungkinan layanan dimulai lebih pagi untuk mengakomodasi kebutuhan mobilitas masyarakat.
"Garis besarnya hampir sama dengan koridor 1. Atau bahkan lebih mundur. Contoh, kalau koridor 1 kan jam 5, bisa mungkin lebih jam setengah 5. Tapi masih belum final karena kami masih belum tahu finalnya nanti lewat mana," pungkasnya.
