JATIMTIMES - Tim futsal Universitas Insan Budi Utomo (UIBU) berhasil mencatatkan prestasi membanggakan di level nasional. UIBU sukses keluar sebagai juara National Collegiate Futsal Series (NCFS) 2026 setelah menaklukkan tim Keolahragaan Universitas Negeri Malang dengan skor tipis 1-0 pada laga final di GOR Ken Arok, Jumat (22/5/2026) malam.

Pertandingan final berlangsung dalam tensi tinggi sejak menit awal. Kedua tim sama-sama tampil agresif dan disiplin demi membuka peluang mencetak gol. UM beberapa kali membangun serangan cepat, namun lini pertahanan UIBU mampu tampil kokoh hingga laga usai.

Gol tunggal yang dicetak pemain UIBU menjadi penentu kemenangan dalam laga sengit tersebut. Dukungan penuh suporter dari kedua perguruan tinggi juga membuat atmosfer pertandingan semakin hidup dan penuh semangat sportivitas.

Rektor Nurcholis Sunuyeko menyampaikan apresiasi tinggi atas perjuangan tim futsal UIBU yang berhasil membawa pulang gelar juara nasional. Menurutnya, pencapaian itu menjadi hasil dari proses panjang yang dijalani seluruh pemain selama kompetisi berlangsung. 

“Prestasi ini merupakan hasil kerja keras, disiplin, dan kekompakan tim selama mengikuti kompetisi,” kata Nurcholis usai laga.

Ia menambahkan, keberhasilan tersebut menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa UIBU tidak hanya berkembang di bidang akademik. Di sisi lain, para mahasiswa juga mampu menunjukkan kapasitas dan daya saing di bidang olahraga antarmahasiswa tingkat nasional.

“Kami bangga atas capaian mahasiswa UIBU yang mampu menunjukkan semangat kompetitif sekaligus tetap menjunjung sportivitas,” ujarnya.

Gelar juara NCFS 2026 terasa semakin spesial karena kompetisi tersebut diikuti 24 tim futsal dari berbagai perguruan tinggi se-Indonesia. UIBU mampu melewati seluruh pertandingan dengan performa impresif hingga akhirnya keluar sebagai tim terbaik pada turnamen bergengsi tersebut.

Kemenangan ini sekaligus mempertegas posisi UIBU sebagai salah satu perguruan tinggi yang aktif mendukung pengembangan potensi mahasiswa. Tidak hanya fokus pada akademik, kampus tersebut juga terus mendorong lahirnya prestasi mahasiswa di bidang olahraga dan kompetisi nasional lainnya.
