BI Rate Naik Jadi 5,25 Persen, Ini Dampaknya ke Cicilan KPR, Deposito hingga Rupiah

JATIMTIMES - Bank Indonesia resmi menaikkan suku bunga acuan atau BI Rate sebesar 50 basis poin (bps) menjadi 5,25 persen. Keputusan tersebut diumumkan dalam Rapat Dewan Gubernur (RDG) BI yang digelar pada Selasa (19/5) hingga Rabu (20/5/2026).

Tak hanya BI Rate. Suku bunga deposit facility juga naik menjadi 4,25 persen dan lending facility menjadi 6 persen.

Gubernur BI Perry Warjiyo mengatakan langkah tersebut diambil untuk menjaga stabilitas rupiah di tengah gejolak global yang makin memanas akibat konflik Timur Tengah.

“Kenaikan ini sebagai langkah lanjutan untuk memperkuat stabilisasi nilai tukar rupiah dari dampak tingginya gejolak global akibat perang di Timur Tengah, serta sebagai langkah pre-emptive untuk menjaga inflasi pada tahun 2026 dan 2027 agar tetap berada dalam kisaran sasaran 2,5 plus minus 1 persen yang ditetapkan pemerintah,” kata Perry Warjiyo, Rabu (20/5/2026). 

Menurut Perry, kebijakan tersebut sejalan dengan fokus BI pada stabilitas ekonomi nasional di tengah tekanan global yang terus meningkat.

Kenaikan BI Rate biasanya akan diikuti penyesuaian bunga perbankan. Artinya, bunga kredit seperti kredit pemilikan rumah (KPR), kredit kendaraan bermotor, hingga pinjaman modal usaha berpotensi ikut naik.

Jika bunga kredit meningkat, masyarakat yang memiliki cicilan dengan skema bunga mengambang bisa menghadapi kenaikan angsuran bulanan.

Selain itu, masyarakat yang berencana mengambil pinjaman baru kemungkinan akan lebih berhati-hati karena biaya pinjaman menjadi lebih mahal.

Sektor properti dan otomotif menjadi dua sektor yang paling sensitif terhadap perubahan suku bunga. Sebab, sebagian besar penjualan rumah dan kendaraan bergantung pada fasilitas kredit perbankan.

Di sisi lain, kenaikan BI Rate juga bisa membawa kabar baik bagi nasabah penyimpan dana.
Bank diperkirakan akan menaikkan bunga simpanan seperti deposito untuk menarik dana masyarakat. Persaingan antarbank dalam menghimpun dana biasanya meningkat saat suku bunga acuan naik.

Kondisi ini membuat instrumen simpanan menjadi lebih menarik dibanding sebelumnya, terutama bagi masyarakat yang mencari investasi dengan risiko rendah.

Dunia usaha juga ikut terdampak dari kenaikan suku bunga acuan. Biaya pinjaman yang lebih tinggi dapat membuat perusahaan menunda ekspansi atau investasi baru. Pelaku usaha yang sangat bergantung pada pembiayaan perbankan diperkirakan akan lebih selektif mengeluarkan modal.

BI sendiri menegaskan kebijakan makroprudensial tetap diarahkan mendukung pertumbuhan ekonomi atau pro-growth, meski fokus utama saat ini adalah menjaga stabilitas.

Untuk diketahui, keputusan BI menaikkan suku bunga terjadi di tengah tekanan berat terhadap rupiah. Mata uang Garuda sebelumnya sempat menyentuh level Rp 17.700 per dolar AS.
Tekanan datang dari memanasnya konflik geopolitik Timur Tengah yang mendorong investor global memburu aset aman seperti dolar AS.

Selain faktor eksternal, investor asing juga menyoroti kondisi fiskal pemerintah, transparansi pasar, hingga independensi bank sentral Indonesia.

Dalam situasi seperti ini, kenaikan suku bunga biasanya digunakan untuk menjaga daya tarik pasar keuangan domestik agar dana asing tidak keluar dari Indonesia.

Dengan bunga yang lebih tinggi, investor diharapkan tetap menempatkan modalnya di pasar obligasi dan saham domestik sehingga tekanan terhadap rupiah bisa berkurang.

Kenaikan BI Rate juga berdampak langsung terhadap pasar keuangan. Di pasar obligasi, imbal hasil atau yield surat utang negara biasanya ikut naik saat suku bunga acuan meningkat. Akibatnya, harga obligasi yang sudah beredar di pasar bisa tertekan.

Sementara di pasar saham, investor umumnya menjadi lebih selektif terhadap sektor-sektor yang sensitif terhadap bunga tinggi.

Saham perbankan berpotensi mendapat keuntungan dari kenaikan margin bunga. Namun sektor dengan beban utang besar atau yang bergantung pada pembiayaan kredit berisiko menghadapi tekanan lebih besar.

BI memastikan akan terus melakukan intervensi di pasar valuta asing untuk menjaga stabilitas rupiah. Langkah tersebut dilakukan di tengah cadangan devisa Indonesia yang sebelumnya tercatat turun selama empat bulan berturut-turut hingga April 2026.
