Mantan Kepala Bapenda Kota Malang Handi Priyanto Resmi Jadi Sekda Semarang

JATIMTIMES - Proses seleksi terbuka jabatan Sekretaris Daerah (Sekda) Kota Semarang telah rampung. Jabatan ASN tertinggi di Kota Semarang tersebut kini diduduki oleh mantan Kepala Badan Pendapatan Daerah (Bapenda) Kota Malang, Handi Priyanto. 

Handi resmi dilantik sebagai Sekda Kota Semarang pada Senin (18/5/2026) di Balai Kota Semarang. Pelantikan tersebut langsung dipimpin oleh Wali Kota Semarang Agustina Wilujeng Pramestuti.

Mengutip sejumlah sumber, Wali Kota Semarang Agustina memberikan sambutan positif atas hal tersebut. Menurutnya, saat ini roda pemerintahan di Kota Semarang akan lebih ringan setelah dilantiknya Sekda secara definitif.

"Nomor satu saya menjadi lebih ringan pekerjaannya karena sudah ada sekda definitif dan tidak ada lagi Penjabat Sekda. Kalau PJ itu kan separuh tugasnya ada di sana, separuh tugasnya ada di sini,” ujar Agustina.

Sebagai informasi, di Pemerintah Kota (Pemkot) Malang, Handi Priyanto pernah menjabat sebagai kepala di sejumlah organisasi perangkat daerah (OPD). Sebelum menjadi Kepala Bapenda dan menjadi Sekda Kota Semarang, Handi juga pernah menjabat sebagai Kepala Dinas Perhubungan (Dishub) Kota Malang. 

"Fokus yang saya paparkan adalah strategi peningkatan Pendapatan Asli Daerah (PAD) guna mengantisipasi tren penurunan Transfer ke Daerah (TKD) yang kini dialami hampir seluruh pemerintah daerah," jelas Handi kepada JatimTIMES beberapa waktu lalu. 

Kendati demikian, ia memastikan bahwa proses yang ia jalani sekarang tidak mengganggu kinerjanya di jajaran Pemkot Malang. Ia melaporkan bahwa kinerja lembaga yang dipimpinnya tetap menunjukkan tren positif dengan capaian surplus pada triwulan pertama tahun 2026.

"Alhamdulillah, kinerja tetap stabil. Bahkan untuk sektor pajak reklame di awal triwulan kedua ini sudah menyentuh target 100 persen," pungkasnya sembari menegaskan komitmennya untuk tetap fokus menuntaskan target di Malang hingga ada keputusan resmi dari Kota Semarang.

Tak hanya sekadar muncul, informasi didapat JatimTIMES, nama Handi Priyanto muncul sebagai tiga besar. Namanya bersaing dengan dua pejabat Pemkot Semarang. Yakni Bambang Pramusinto dan Budi Prakosa.

Hingga berita ini ditulis, masih belum ada keterangan resmi dari Pemkot Malang terkait hal tersebut.
