JATIMTIMES - Pebalap muda Indonesia Veda Ega Pratama kembali menunjukkan performa impresif di ajang Moto3 Prancis 2026. Rider Honda Team Asia itu sukses finis di posisi keempat pada balapan yang digelar di Sirkuit Le Mans, Minggu (10/5/2026) sore.

Sementara kemenangan race menjadi milik pebalap Spanyol, Maximo Quiles, yang tampil dominan sejak awal balapan.

Veda yang memulai race dari posisi keenam langsung tampil agresif sejak lampu start padam. Pebalap berusia 17 tahun itu mampu menjaga ritme dan terus bertahan di rombongan depan sepanjang balapan berlangsung.

Sejak lap awal, Veda Ega terus mendapat tekanan dari Joel Esteban yang membuntuti di belakangnya. Meski begitu, rider asal Gunungkidul tersebut tetap mampu mempertahankan posisi di empat besar.

Di depan, Maximo Quiles tampil nyaman memimpin balapan dengan keunggulan lebih dari dua detik atas Adrian Fernandez dari Leopard Racing. Fernandez sendiri unggul cukup jauh atas Matteo Bertelle yang berada di posisi ketiga.

Memasuki lap-lap akhir, Veda terlihat mulai memilih bermain aman ketimbang memaksakan diri mengejar podium. Selisih waktunya dengan Matteo Bertelle yang sebelumnya sempat berada di bawah dua detik perlahan melebar menjadi lebih dari tiga detik.

Strategi itu tampaknya dipilih demi mengamankan poin dan menghindari risiko kehilangan posisi akibat kesalahan di akhir balapan.

Veda pun fokus menjaga jarak dari Joel Esteban yang terus menekan dari belakang hingga garis finis.

Pada akhirnya, Veda Ega berhasil menyentuh garis finis di posisi keempat. Hasil tersebut menjadi pencapaian istimewa bagi pebalap Honda Team Asia itu di musim Moto3 2026.

Finis di Le Mans juga memperpanjang konsistensi Veda yang kini sudah empat kali menembus posisi 10 besar musim ini.

Selain itu, hasil di Prancis menjadi pencapaian terbaik kedua Veda musim ini setelah sebelumnya meraih podium ketiga di Moto3 GP Brasil.
