Sebagian Jalan Kawi ditutup Imbas Pembangunan Drainase Proyek Tol.
JATIMTIMES - Pemerintah Kota Kediri melalui Dinas Perhubungan resmi memberlakukan penutupan sebagian Jalan Kawi mulai Selasa (5/5). Kebijakan ini dilakukan seiring adanya proyek pembangunan crossing (persilangan) saluran air oleh pelaksana proyek jalan tol.
Penutupan dijadwalkan berlangsung selama tiga minggu, yakni mulai 5 Mei hingga 26 Mei 2026. Penutupan dilakukan atas pengajuan pihak pelaksana pembangunan jalan tol untuk memberikan keamanan dan kenyamanan selama proses pengerjaan berlangsung.

“Pembangunan crossing ini krusial untuk mencegah banjir di lingkungan sekitar. Saluran ini nantinya akan mengalirkan air menuju pembuangan ke sisi timur (Sungai Brantas),” terang Kepala Dinas Perhubungan Kota Kediri Arief Cholisudin.
Cholis menambahkan, Jalan Kawi tidak ditutup total. Penutupan hanya berlaku di titik lokasi proyek dengan panjang sekitar 50 meter. Masyarakat yang tinggal di area sekitar tetap bisa memanfaatkan akses jalan lingkungan untuk beraktivitas. Sementara untuk kendaraan besar dan angkutan berat dipastikan tidak terkendala dan tetap melintas di rute semula.
“Kita sudah melakukan pemantauan di lapangan dan sejauh ini tidak terjadi penumpukan kendaraan. Kita juga bekerja sama dengan Satlantas Polres Kediri Kota dan LMA selaku pelaksana proyek dalam pengaturan lalu lintas dan pemasangan road barrier pembatas jalan,” imbuhnya.
Terkait sosialisasi, Cholis menuturkan Dinas Perhubungan telah melibatkan kelurahan dan kecamatan untuk memberikan informasi ke masyarakat sekitar. Selain itu, media sosial juga dimanfaatkan sebagai sarana penyebaran informasi secara luas agar masyarakat dapat menyesuaikan rute perjalanan selama masa penutupan.

Dengan adanya penutupan jalan ini, Cholis menyampaikan permohonan maaf atas ketidaknyamanan yang ditimbulkan. Masyarakat diimbau untuk menyesuaikan rute perjalanan serta tetap berhati-hati selama berkendara.
"Kami berharap masyarakat bisa memaklumi karena proyek ini bertujuan untuk kepentingan bersama, terutama mengatasi masalah banjir. Kami juga berupaya agar pengerjaan dapat segera selesai sehingga jalan dapat kembali dibuka,” pungkasnya.
