JATIMTIMES - Petik tebu manten merupakan ritual yang tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai seremoni pembuka musim giling, tetapi juga mengandung makna mendalam yang mencerminkan nilai-nilai kebersamaan dan kerja sama antara petani tebu dan pabrik gula. 

Mendekati musim tebang KSO Kebun Dhoho Kediri menggelar ritual tradisional petik tebu. Ritual ini dilakukan sebagai simbol dimulainya proses tebang angkut.

Agenda tersebut merupakan tradisi turun temurun yang dilaksanakan setiap tahun. Setelah proses ritual petik tebu selesai, acara kemudian dilanjut dengan menggelar syukuran pemotongan tumpeng lalu dilanjut dengan doa bersama di Dusun Bakung, Desa Wonorejo, Kecamatan Wates, Kabupaten Kediri, 

"Agenda ini sebenarnya sering dilakukan setiap tahun. Artinya kita melakukan selamatan petik tebu dimana menjadi rangkaian akhir sebelum kita tebang lalu kita kirim ke pabrik gula. Yang dimulai dari proses tanam," terang General Manager PT SGN KSO Tebu Kebun Dhoho Kediri Kamis 30 April 2026.

Dikatakan bahwa proses penebangan perdana dijadwalkan akan dimulai pada tanggal 12- 13 Mei 2026 mendatang. Untuk tahap awal, seluruh hasil panen akan difokuskan pengirimannya ke Pabrik Gula (PG) Ngadiredjo, Kediri.

" Insya Allah kita mulai tebang tanggal 12 atau 13 nanti. Untuk sementara semua akan dikirim ke PG Ngadiredjo sambil menunggu pabrik lain buka," ujarnya.

Selain PG Ngadiredjo, produksi tebu dari luasan lahan total 3.310 hektar ini nantinya akan didistribusikan ke tiga pabrik lainnya, yaitu PG Pesantren Baru, PG Meritjan serta PG Mojopanggung

Tahun ini, manajemen menetapkan target yang cukup signifikan sesuai Rencana Kerja dan Anggaran Perusahaan (RKAP), yakni produktivitas sebesar 80,56 ton per hektar. Dengan total luas lahan yang ada, estimasi total produksi mencapai 267.000 ton tebu. Kapasitas tebang harian pun dipatok cukup tinggi, berada di angka 1.800 hingga 1.900 ton per hari.

" Insya Allah kami tetap akan berusaha semaksimal mungkin agar sesuai dengan RKAP diangka 80,56 ton. Yang harus kita raih untuk produksi tahun ini," katanya.

Operasional besar- besaran ini dipastikan memberikan dampak ekonomi bagi warga sekitar. Selain 350 karyawan tetap, pihak pengelola akan menyerap tambahan tenaga kerja musiman sebanyak 1.500 hingga 1.800 orang, yang mayoritas merupakan warga di sekitar kebun.

Lebih lanjut ia tidak menampik tentang adanya tantangan di lapangan, terutama terkait kondisi cuaca yang tidak menentu serta dinamika lingkungan yang berbeda di setiap titik perkebunan. Berdasarkan prediksi musim giling, proses panen dan distribusi ini diperkirakan akan berlangsung hingga pertengahan atau akhir November mendatang.
