Polisi Ungkap Kebakaran Gudang Rokok di Malang Diduga Tutupi Penggelapan Barang, Dua Karyawan Jadi Tersangka

JATIMTIMES - Penlusuran perkara kebakaran gudang bahan baku rokok milik PT Gaganeswara di Jalan Mayjen Sungkono, Kecamatan Kedungkandang, Kota Malang  yang terjadi pada Jumat, 24 April 2026 akhirnya menemui titik terang. Setelah dilakukan penyelidikan, petugas kepolisian memastikan bahwa insiden tersebut bukan disebabkan oleh korsleting listrik, namun aksi pembakaran yang diduga disengaja.

Hal tersebut diungkapkan Kasi Humas Polresta Malang Kota, Lukman Sobikhin. Ia mengatakan bahwa kesimpulan tersebut diperoleh setelah tim penyidik melakukan olah tempat kejadian perkara (TKP) serta menganalisis rekaman kamera pengawas di sekitar lokasi.

“Dari penyelidikan termasuk menganalisa CCTV yang ada di lokasi kejadian, terungkap kebakaran tersebut dilakukan oleh karyawannya sendiri,” kata Lukman, Selasa (28/4/2026).

Dalam kasus ini, polisi telah menetapkan dua orang tersangka, yakni MAS (26) asal Kabupaten Tabanan, Bali, serta AFR (27) warga Kelurahan Bumiayu, Kecamatan Kedungkandang. Keduanya merupakan karyawan yang bekerja di gudang tersebut.

Usai kejadian, kedua tersangka sempat menghilang dari tempat tinggalnya. Saat petugas mendatangi lokasi kos di kawasan Kelurahan Bumiayu, keduanya sudah tidak berada di tempat. 

Setelah dilakukan penelusuran, polisi akhirnya berhasil mengamankan mereka di wilayah Kecamatan Dampit, Kabupaten Malang. Penetapan tersangka diperkuat dengan sejumlah barang bukti yang berhasil dikumpulkan penyidik.

Di antaranya rekaman CCTV, pakaian yang digunakan saat kejadian, hingga bukti transaksi keuangan yang berkaitan dengan aktivitas di dalam gudang. 

Dari hasil pemeriksaan, terungkap bahwa aksi pembakaran tersebut dilatarbelakangi upaya menutupi tindak penggelapan barang. Sebelumnya, kedua tersangka diduga telah mengambil filter rokok dari gudang bersama beberapa rekannya. “Motifnya untuk menutupi aksi penggelapan barang yang telah dilakukan sebelumnya. Agar kekurangan stok tidak diketahui, keduanya sengaja membakar gudang,” imbuh Lukman.

Polisi menduga, kebakaran sengaja diciptakan agar selisih stok tidak terdeteksi oleh pihak perusahaan. Dengan demikian, perbuatan penggelapan yang telah dilakukan sebelumnya diharapkan tidak terbongkar.

Atas perbuatannya, kedua tersangka dijerat dengan Pasal 308 KUHP tentang perbuatan yang menimbulkan kebakaran. Ancaman hukuman berat pun menanti keduanya.

“Kedua tersangka kami jerat dengan Pasal 308 KUHP terkait perbuatan yang menyebabkan kebakaran. Saat ini, kami masih mendalami kemungkinan adanya keterlibatan pihak lain,” ungkap Lukman.

Hingga saat ini, penyidik Satreskrim Polresta Malang Kota masih terus mengembangkan kasus tersebut untuk mengungkap adanya pelaku lain yang turut terlibat dalam aksi pembakaran gudang tersebut.
