JATIMTIMES - Kasus dugaan penganiayaan yang dilaporkan almarhum Imam Muslimin atau Yai Mim masih terus diproses oleh penyidik Polresta Malang Kota. Meski pelapor telah meninggal dunia, polisi menegaskan bahwa perkara tersebut tidak serta-merta dihentikan.
Penghentian perkara hanya berlaku bagi pihak yang berstatus sebagai tersangka, bukan pelapor. Hal tersebut diungkapkan Kepala Satuan Reserse Kriminal (Kasat Reskrim) Polresta Malang Kota, AKP Rahkmad Aji Prabowo.

Ia mengatakan bahwa pihaknya telah mengantongi hasil visum yang menjadi salah satu dasar penting dalam penanganan kasus tersebut. Dari hasil pemeriksaan medis itu, ditemukan indikasi adanya kekerasan.
“Bukti visum yang dirinya sebagai pelapor penganiayaan dengan satu orang terlapor itu sudah kami kantongi,” kata Aji, Kamis (23/4/2026).
Ia menambahkan, temuan dalam visum tersebut menunjukkan adanya tanda-tanda yang mengarah pada dugaan tindak penganiayaan. “Hasilnya ada tanda-tanda yang merujuk pada kemungkinan disebabkan penganiayaan,” jelasnya.
Aji menegaskan bahwa status Yai Mim sebagai pelapor membuat proses hukum tetap berjalan, meskipun yang bersangkutan telah meninggal dunia. Menurutnya, penghentian perkara karena kematian hanya berlaku apabila seseorang berstatus sebagai tersangka.
“Jika yang bersangkutan sebagai pelapor, maka prosesnya tetap kami lanjutkan sampai saat ini,” tegas Aju.
Meski demikian, penyidik belum bisa meningkatkan kasus ini ke tahap penyidikan. Hal itu disebabkan masih kurangnya alat bukti yang dibutuhkan untuk memperkuat konstruksi perkara.
“Kalau alat bukti belum terpenuhi, maka penyelidikan bisa dihentikan. Jadi bukan karena pelapor meninggal dunia, tetapi karena tidak cukup bukti,” tambah Aji.

Sebelumnya, penyidik telah menjadwalkan pemeriksaan lanjutan terhadap Yai Mim pada 13 April 2026. Pemeriksaan itu direncanakan sebagai pendalaman setelah pemeriksaan awal dilakukan tak lama setelah laporan dibuat pada Januari 2026.
Namun, rencana tersebut tidak terlaksana karena Yai Mim meninggal dunia sebelum sempat memberikan keterangan tambahan. “Saat itu akan dilakukan pemeriksaan tambahan, tapi sebelum masuk ruang pemeriksaan beliau tidak sadar dan kemudian meninggal dunia,” ungkap Aji.
Diketahui, laporan dugaan penganiayaan tersebut diajukan Yai Mim pada 8 Januari 2026 dengan terlapor seorang warga berinisial F yang merupakan tetangganya di Kelurahan Merjosari, Kecamatan Lowokwaru.
Polisi pun telah melakukan pemeriksaan awal terhadap korban tak lama setelah laporan diterima dan berencana melanjutkan pendalaman sebelum akhirnya terhenti karena kondisi pelapor.
