JATIMTIMES – Wali Kota Malang Wahyu Hidayat menegaskan kesiapan pemerintah kota dalam menghadapi potensi bencana menjelang musim kemarau. Koordinasi lintas sektor terus diperkuat sebagai langkah antisipatif.

Menurut Wahyu, Pemkot Malang telah mengikuti arahan dari pemerintah provinsi terkait langkah mitigasi yang perlu dilakukan. Koordinasi intensif juga dilakukan bersama Forum Koordinasi Pimpinan Daerah (Forkopimda) Kota Malang.

Wahyu menyebut, berdasarkan kajian hidrologi dan hidrometeorologi dari provinsi, tingkat kerawanan bencana di Kota Malang tergolong ringan. Meski demikian, kewaspadaan tetap menjadi prioritas utama.

“Walaupun masuk kategori ringan, kita tetap antisipasi. Prediksi bisa saja berubah, jadi persiapan harus tetap maksimal,” ujarnya.

Dari hasil pemetaan, potensi bencana yang paling diwaspadai adalah tanah longsor. Hal ini menjadi fokus utama dalam upaya mitigasi yang disiapkan pemerintah.

Selain bencana alam, Wahyu juga menyoroti potensi kebakaran yang kerap meningkat saat musim kemarau. Ia menilai, faktor kelalaian masyarakat masih menjadi penyebab utama kejadian tersebut.

“Misalnya kompor elpiji yang ditinggal atau korsleting listrik. Ini perlu kesadaran masyarakat, termasuk pemahaman soal penggunaan listrik yang aman,” katanya.

Wahyu juga meminta peran aktif dari pihak PLN untuk terus melakukan sosialisasi terkait keamanan instalasi listrik di lingkungan masyarakat.

Untuk wilayah padat penduduk yang rawan kebakaran, Pemkot Malang telah menyiapkan langkah mitigasi. Salah satunya dengan memperkuat kesiapsiagaan relawan hingga tingkat kecamatan dan kelurahan.

“Relawan dan tim di wilayah akan kita apelkan kembali agar kesiapan menghadapi bencana bisa lebih dini,” jelasnya.

Sementara itu, terkait penyusunan peta rawan bencana hingga tingkat RT, Wahyu memastikan progresnya terus berjalan. Bahkan, dalam beberapa kejadian sebelumnya, kesiapan masyarakat dinilai sudah mulai terlihat.

“Tidak hanya relawan, masyarakat juga sudah mulai paham langkah apa yang harus dilakukan saat terjadi bencana,” pungkasnya.
