JATIMTIMES - Di tengah lesunya tingkat hunian hotel, geliat wisatawan mancanegara justru memberi harapan baru bagi sektor pariwisata di Kota Batu. Data terbaru menunjukkan, meski okupansi kamar menurun, wisatawan asing mulai betah tinggal lebih lama.

Dari data terbaru Badan Pusat Statistik Kota Batu, tingkat penghunian kamar (TPK) hotel pada Februari 2026 hanya mencapai 20,22 persen. Angka ini turun cukup dalam dibandingkan Januari 2026 maupun periode yang sama tahun lalu.

Kondisi tersebut terdapat adanya penurunan arus kunjungan wisata, yang berdampak langsung pada bisnis perhotelan. Dengan rincian hotel berbintang mencatat okupansi sekitar 24,81 persen. Artinya, dari 100 kamar yang tersedia, rata-rata hanya 24 hingga 25 kamar yang terisi setiap malam.

Sementara itu, hotel non-bintang dan jenis akomodasi lainnya juga belum menunjukkan performa yang jauh lebih baik. Namun di balik angka tersebut, muncul tren yang cukup menarik.

Rata-rata lama menginap tamu (RLM) justru tidak ikut tergerus. Secara keseluruhan, wisatawan yang datang ke Kota Batu masih menghabiskan waktu sekitar 1,07 malam, angka yang relatif stabil.

Yang menjadi sorotan adalah perilaku wisatawan asing. Mereka tercatat menginap lebih lama, dengan rata-rata mencapai 1,30 malam. Meski selisihnya tampak kecil, tren ini dinilai penting karena menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kualitas kunjungan, bukan sekadar kuantitas.

Kepala Badan Pusat Statistik Kota Batu, Herlina Prasetyowati Sambodo, menyebut fenomena ini sebagai sinyal positif di tengah tekanan sektor akomodasi.

“Rata-rata lama menginap wisatawan asing pada Februari 2026 mencapai 1,30 malam dan ini meningkat dibandingkan periode sebelumnya. Artinya, daya tarik Kota Batu mulai mampu membuat wisatawan mancanegara bertahan lebih lama,” katanya, Selasa (14/4/2026).

Menurut Herlina, tren ini bisa menjadi peluang besar jika dimanfaatkan dengan tepat. Semakin lama wisatawan tinggal, semakin besar pula potensi perputaran ekonomi mulai dari penginapan, kuliner, hingga kunjungan ke destinasi wisata.

Meski demikian, ia tak menampik bahwa tantangan masih cukup besar. Secara umum, pola kunjungan wisatawan ke Kota Batu masih didominasi oleh kunjungan singkat. Banyak wisatawan datang hanya untuk berwisata sehari atau menginap satu malam.

“Mayoritas wisatawan masih menjadikan Kota Batu sebagai destinasi short stay. Ini yang perlu didorong, terutama untuk wisatawan asing, agar durasi tinggalnya bisa lebih panjang,” jelasnya.

Tren dalam beberapa tahun terakhir juga menunjukkan pola yang serupa. Lama menginap wisatawan cenderung stagnan di kisaran satu hari. Bahkan sempat menurun pada 2025 sebelum akhirnya kembali meningkat di 2026, khususnya untuk wisatawan asing.

Kondisi ini membuka ruang bagi pemerintah dan pelaku industri untuk berbenah. Pengembangan paket wisata yang lebih variatif, peningkatan kualitas destinasi, hingga promosi yang lebih menyasar pasar internasional dinilai menjadi langkah strategis untuk memperpanjang masa tinggal wisatawan.

“Ke depan, strategi peningkatan kunjungan harus berjalan seiring dengan upaya memperpanjang lama tinggal wisatawan. Terutama wisatawan mancanegara yang trennya sudah mulai positif,” tutup Herlina.
