JATIMTIMES - Usai Gatut Sunu Wibowo Bupati Tulungagung diamankan Komisi Pemberantasan Korupsi (KPK ) dalam operasi tangkap tangan (OTT), terungkap latar belakang kasusnya. KPK menyatakan, Gatut Sunu Wibowo diduga melakukan praktek pemerasan .
“Perkaranya terkait pemerasan,” kata Asep Guntur Rahayu, Deputi Penindakan dan Eksekusi KPK Sabtu (11/4/2026) dikutip dari berbagai portal berita online.

Dalam OTT ini, penyidik KPK turut mengamankan uang tunai sebagai barang bukti permulaan. Untuk jumlah uang tunai yang disita ini Juru Bicara KPK Budi Prasetyo mengatakan masih dalam proses penghitungan.
“Tim mengamankan barang bukti, di antaranya uang tunai,” ungkapnya.
Menurut Budi, ada total 13 orang diamankan dalam OTT ini. Belasan orang ini terdiri dari unsur pejabat di lingkup Pemkab Tulungagung dan pihak swasta.
Semua pihak yang diamankan ini, akan menjalani proses pemeriksaan lebih lanjut.
“Total ada 13 orang yang diamankan, terdiri dari kepala daerah, jajaran pemerintah daerah, dan satu pihak lainnya,” ungkapnya.
Seluruh pihak yang diamankan ini, dipindahkan secara bertahap dalam tiga gelombang.
