Apel siswa di SMP Negeri 1 Sumberjambe bersama Bupati Jember

JATIMTIMES - Program Bunga Desaku Senin 29 Juni 2026 digelar di Kecamatan Sumberjambe, dengan mengunjungi beberapa lokasi di wilayah kecamatan yang berada di ujung Tenggara Kabupaten Jember, salah satunya di SMP Negeri 1 Sumberjambe, tempat Apel Siswa SMP bersama Bupati Jember.

Tidak seperti di Apel Siswa sebelumnya, pada Apel Siswa di program Bunga Desaku di Kecamatan Sumberjambe, diikuti oleh ratusan siswa dari 7 sekolah, diantaranya SMP N 1, SMPN 2, SMPN 3, SMPN 4, SMPN 5, dan dua SMP Swasta.

Dalam kesempatan tersebut, Bupati Jember Dr. Muhammad Fawait SE. MSc., selain menyemangati siswa, agar siswa sekolah sampai ke jenjang lebih tinggi, juga menekankan pentingnya moral atau akhlak dalam berkehidupan sehari-hari.

"Meskipun berada di pinggiran dan di desa, adik-adik harus tetap semangat menempuh pendidikan, jangan hanya di bangku SMP, tapi ke jenjang lebih tinggi, yakni di tingkat SMA maupun kuliah," ujar Bupati.

Selain itu, Bupati juga tidak ingin di Jember ada kejadian, murid berani melawan kepada guru apalagi orang tua. "Saya tidak ingin seperti di video yang viral, seorang murid berani melawan guru, apalagi sampai terjadi kekerasan," tekan Bupati.

Bupati juga menyampaikan, bahwa siswa tidak hanya dituntut untuk cerdas dan pintar saja, lebih dari itu, juga membutuhkan barokah atau keberkahan ilmu.

"Untuk meraih kesuksesan, tidak cukup hanya bermodal cerdas dan pintar saja, sebagai santri dan juga siswa, kita juga membutuhkan barokah dari guru dan orang tua kita, oleh karenanya penting bagi adik-adik semua untuk menata akhlak dan tata krama," paparnya.

Bupati juga menjelaskan, bahwa belajar di sekolah negeri maupun swasta, bukan sebuah perbedaan untuk bisa sukses, selama ada tekad dan kemauan, tidak mungkin tidak bisa diraih.

"Saya dulu SD nya Negeri, kemudian Madrasah swasta, tapi bisa kuliah di perguruan tinggi negeri ternama, S1 saya di Unair, S2 di UGM, dan belum lama ini lulus S3 Unair, jadi sekolah swasta maupun negeri sama saja, kalau ada yang bilang, kalau sekolah swasta tidak bisa kuliah di perguruan tinggi ternama, jangan percaya, saya membuktikan sendiri," ujar Bupati menyemangati siswa.

Bupati berharap, siswa yang sekolah di pinggiran seperti di Kecamatan Sumberjambe, tidak perlu berkecil hati. "Semua pendidikan sama, dan yang paling utama adalah keberkahan dari ilmu itu sendiri," pungkas Bupati.

Selain memberikan paparan kepada siswa peserta Apel Siswa, dalam kegiatan tersebut, Bupati juga mengajak siswa untuk meminum pil penambah darah, hal ini untuk mencegah anemia dialami oleh para siswa. (*)
