JATIMTIMES - Di tengah munculnya berbagai kritik terhadap pemerintahan dan wacana politik yang berkembang belakangan ini, tokoh Reformasi Amien Rais justru mengajak masyarakat untuk menjaga stabilitas nasional dengan memberi kesempatan kepada Presiden Prabowo Subianto menyelesaikan masa jabatannya hingga 2029.

Ketua Majelis Syuro Partai Ummat itu menilai pergantian kepemimpinan nasional harus tetap mengikuti mekanisme konstitusi yang telah diatur dalam Undang-Undang Dasar (UUD) 1945. Menurutnya, pemerintahan yang sedang berjalan tidak boleh dijatuhkan di tengah jalan tanpa alasan yang benar-benar luar biasa.

"Ritme pergantian kekuasaan per lima tahun sekali sesuai Undang-Undang Dasar Republik Indonesia 1945 harus kita pertahankan agar tidak ada pemerintahan pusat yang diturunkan di tengah jalan," kata Amien Rais dalam pernyataannya melalui kanal YouTube Amien Rais Official, dikutip Jumat (12/6/2026).

Amien menjelaskan bahwa seorang presiden hanya dapat diberhentikan sebelum masa jabatannya berakhir apabila terbukti melakukan pelanggaran berat yang memenuhi syarat konstitusional. Ia mencontohkan tindakan seperti pengkhianatan terhadap negara atau pelanggaran serius lainnya sebagai alasan yang dapat menjadi dasar pemberhentian presiden.

Di luar kondisi tersebut, Amien berpandangan bahwa Prabowo perlu diberikan kesempatan yang adil untuk menjalankan program-program prioritas pemerintah atau Asta Cita hingga akhir masa jabatannya.

"Mengingat pengalaman politik kita di masa lalu, enam tahun ada lima presiden bergonta-ganti dan semuanya menguras energi nasional kita, maka Presiden Prabowo kita beri kesempatan yang adil, kesempatan yang wajar. Biarlah dia bekerja sekeras-kerasnya untuk mewujudkan cita-citanya sampai 20 Oktober tahun 2029," ujarnya.

Amien juga menyoroti mekanisme pemakzulan presiden dan wakil presiden yang menurutnya tidak mudah dilakukan. Berdasarkan Pasal 7B UUD 1945, proses tersebut harus melewati berbagai tahapan, mulai dari DPR, Mahkamah Konstitusi, hingga MPR.

Dengan melihat kondisi politik saat ini, ia menilai upaya pemakzulan terhadap Presiden Prabowo maupun Wakil Presiden Gibran Rakabuming Raka akan sangat sulit direalisasikan.

"Mengharapkan para anggota DPR-MPR berani mendesak Presiden Prabowo, rasa-rasanya itu tidak mungkin. Semarah apa pun kita pada Gibran, dengan konstelasi pimpinan DPR-MPR yang sekarang ini, kiranya melakukan pemakzulan terhadap Gibran itu juga sangat sulit," ujar Amien.

Meski mendukung Prabowo menyelesaikan masa pemerintahannya, Amien mengaku tetap menaruh perhatian terhadap kondisi ekonomi nasional yang menurutnya sedang menghadapi berbagai tantangan. Ia menyoroti maraknya PHK dan melemahnya aktivitas ekonomi di sejumlah daerah.

Karena itu, Amien meminta pemerintah menunjukkan kepekaan terhadap situasi yang dihadapi masyarakat. Ia mengimbau para pejabat negara untuk mengurangi aktivitas yang dapat menimbulkan kesan bermewah-mewahan di tengah kesulitan ekonomi rakyat.

"Kurangi semaksimal mungkin suasana pesta para menteri. Terutama Pak Prabowo jangan pernah joget-joget lagi dan sempat difoto begitu, adegan-adegan bermewah-mewah sampai disiarkan ke publik. Reaksi seragam masyarakat yaitu marah," tegasnya.

Amien juga mengingatkan bahwa tekanan ekonomi yang terus berlanjut berpotensi memicu keresahan sosial. Karena itu, ia berharap pemerintah dapat menjaga stabilitas ekonomi sekaligus merespons berbagai persoalan yang dihadapi masyarakat secara lebih serius.

Pernyataan tersebut menegaskan posisi Amien Rais yang mendukung Presiden Prabowo Subianto menyelesaikan masa jabatannya hingga 2029 sesuai amanat konstitusi. Di saat yang sama, ia mengingatkan pemerintah agar lebih responsif terhadap berbagai persoalan ekonomi dan sosial yang tengah dirasakan masyarakat.
