JATIMTIMES - Upaya Pemerintah Kota Malang menekan gejolak harga bahan pokok mulai menunjukkan hasil. Salah satu indikatornya terlihat dari penurunan harga cabai rawit yang sebelumnya sempat menembus lebih dari Rp100 ribu per kilogram.
Kepala Dinas Koperasi, Perindustrian, dan Perdagangan (Diskoperindag) Kota Malang Eko Sri Yuliadi mengatakan, penurunan harga tersebut tidak lepas dari intervensi yang dilakukan melalui program Warung Tekan Inflasi (WIT) yang dijalankan dalam beberapa waktu terakhir.

Menurut dia, komoditas cabai menjadi perhatian utama karena sempat mengalami lonjakan harga yang cukup tinggi dan berpotensi memengaruhi laju inflasi daerah. Namun berdasarkan pemantauan terbaru, harga cabai rawit kini berada di kisaran Rp50 ribu per kilogram.
“Apabila ada kenaikan yang cukup signifikan, misalnya seperti cabai kemudian bawang merah, pemerintah kota pasti akan segera intervensi,” ujar Eko, Senin (8/6/2026).
Meski harga cabai mulai terkendali, Diskoperindag tetap meningkatkan pengawasan terhadap perkembangan harga berbagai komoditas pangan lainnya di pasar tradisional. Pemantauan dilakukan secara rutin sebagai langkah awal untuk mendeteksi potensi kenaikan harga yang dinilai tidak wajar.
Eko menjelaskan, hasil pemantauan lapangan akan menjadi dasar bagi pemerintah dalam menentukan bentuk intervensi yang diperlukan. Jika ditemukan lonjakan harga pada komoditas tertentu, Pemkot Malang telah menyiapkan sejumlah skema penanganan.
Beberapa langkah yang disiapkan antara lain pelaksanaan pasar murah di sejumlah lokasi, operasi pasar untuk menjaga ketersediaan dan stabilitas harga, serta perluasan cakupan Warung Tekan Inflasi yang dinilai cukup efektif dalam mengendalikan harga kebutuhan pokok.

“Konsentrasinya kemarin ke cabai, dan sudah kita lihat bahwa sampai hari ini harga cabai sudah menurun. Cabai rawit itu sekarang sudah menyentuh angka Rp50.000 per kilogram, padahal kemarin sempat di atas Rp100.000 ,” katanya.
Di sisi lain, masyarakat juga diminta turut berperan menjaga stabilitas pasar dengan berbelanja secara bijak. Eko mengingatkan agar warga membeli kebutuhan pokok sesuai keperluan dan tidak melakukan pembelian berlebihan yang dapat memicu peningkatan permintaan.
“Kami mengimbau masyarakat dalam memenuhi kebutuhan sembakonya silakan dipenuhi sesuai kebutuhan saja. Jangan sampai ada yang menimbun atau menyimpan lebih, sehingga akan menambah permintaan yang cukup banyak. Karena salah satu faktor harga naik itu apabila demand lebih tinggi daripada supply bahan bakunya,” pungkasnya.
