JATIMTIMES - Perbuatan nekat rombongan pendakian Gunung Semeru berujung petaka. Akibat menerobos melalui jalur yang tidak resmi, salah satu pendaki ilegal di Gunung Semeru tersebut akhirnya mengalami cedera serius usai dilaporkan jatuh ke lereng di kawasan Gunung Semeru.
Kepala Balai Besar Taman Nasional Bromo Tengger Semeru (BB TNBTS) Rudijanta Tjahja Nugraha mengatakan, berdasarkan kronologi sementara yang berhasil dihimpun, petaka yang dialami oleh rombongan pendaki ilegal tersebut bermula pada Sabtu (30/5/2026)

Pada hari itu, tiga orang pendaki yang diketahui berasal dari Semarang, Pasuruan, dan Malang tersebut melakukan aktivitas pendakian menuju kawasan Gunung Semeru melalui jalur Candi Jawar Purbakala.
"Jalur yang digunakan tersebut bukan merupakan jalur resmi pendakian wisata yang dikelola BB TNBTS," ujarnya, Rabu (3/6/2026).
Rudijanta menyebut, lokasi pendakian rombongan ilegal yang merupakan akses tidak resmi tersebut juga sudah diketahui oleh masyarakat setempat. "Sehingga jalur tersebut bukan merupakan pintu masuk maupun jalur resmi yang digunakan untuk aktivitas pendakian Gunung Semeru," ungkapnya.
Rudijanta menegaskan, hingga saat ini pendakian menuju puncak Gunung Semeru juga masih ditutup sehubungan dengan aktivitas vulkanologi Gunung Semeru dan pertimbangan keselamatan pengunjung.
"Oleh karena itu, aktivitas yang dilakukan ketiga orang tersebut merupakan pendakian ilegal dan tidak tercatat dalam sistem pelayanan pendakian BB TNBTS," tegasnya.
Hingga akhirnya, pada Senin (1/6/2026) sekitar pukul 10.00 WIB, salah satu pendaki dilaporkan menghubungi orang tuanya. Ia kemudian menyampaikan dirinya terjatuh di lereng Gunung Semeru serta membutuhkan pertolongan.
"Korban pada saat itu juga sempat mengirimkan titik koordinat lokasi terakhir sebelum komunikasi terputus," imbuhnya.
Keluarga korban kemudian menindaklanjuti informasi tersebut dengan turut berkoordinasi kepada sejumlah pihak terkait. Termasuk berkoordinasi dengan Koramil Tirtoyudo dan Koramil Ampelgading untuk melakukan pencarian terhadap korban.

Pada Senin (1/6/2026) malam sekitar pukul 22.00 WIB, ayah korban bersama enam orang warga Kaliputih, Kecamatan Ampelgading, Kabupaten Malang, Jawa Timur melakukan upaya pencarian menuju ke lokasi yang diduga merupakan keberadaan korban.
"Untuk mencapai lokasi tersebut diperlukan waktu tempuh sekitar delapan jam dengan berjalan kaki melalui medan yang terjal, curam, hingga minim akses," jelasnya.
Pada Selasa (2/6/2026) sekitar pukul 10.00 WIB, korban dilaporkan telah ditemukan. Namun proses evakuasi mengalami kendala karena kondisi medan yang cukup berat. Sehingga tim yang dikerahkan pada saat itu membutuhkan dukungan personel tambahan.
"Pada Selasa (2/6/2026) sore, tim tambahan dari masyarakat Tamansatriyan, Tamansari, dan Tlogosari diberangkatkan menuju lokasi untuk membantu proses evakuasi," imbuhnya.
Hingga akhirnya, pada hari ini, Rabu (3/6/2026) sekitar pukul 06.00 WIB, tim gabungan yang dilibatkan dalam proses evakuasi kembali bergerak menuju lokasi untuk melanjutkan proses evakuasi.
"Saat ini proses evakuasi terhadap korban masih berlangsung dengan melibatkan unsur BB TNBTS, Basarnas, masyarakat setempat, relawan, hingga sejumlah pihak terkait lainnya," pungkasnya.
