JATIMTIMES — SMP Mambaus Sholihin Blitar kembali menunjukkan kiprahnya dalam dunia pendidikan dengan meraih prestasi pada ajang Blitar Olympiad of Science (BIOS) Tahun 2026 tingkat Se-Karisidenan Kediri yang digelar pada 10 Mei 2026. Dua santri terbaik sekolah tersebut berhasil membawa pulang medali dalam kompetisi sains yang diikuti pelajar dari berbagai daerah di wilayah Blitar dan sekitarnya.
Prestasi itu menjadi bukti bahwa pendidikan berbasis pesantren tidak hanya menitikberatkan pada penguatan ilmu agama, tetapi juga mampu mencetak generasi unggul di bidang akademik dan sains.

Pada bidang matematika tingkat SMP, M. Syai’if Kadir, siswa kelas 7 SMP Mambaus Sholihin, sukses meraih medali perak atau juara 2 dengan skor 360 dan menempati peringkat kelima. Sementara itu, pada bidang ilmu pengetahuan alam (IPA) tingkat SMP, Muhammad Azka Ramadhan, siswa kelas 8, berhasil memperoleh medali perunggu atay juara 3 dengan skor 420 dan berada di peringkat ketujuh.
Capaian tersebut disambut penuh rasa syukur oleh keluarga besar SMP Mambaus Sholihin. Keberhasilan kedua santri itu dinilai menjadi hasil dari proses pembelajaran yang konsisten, disiplin belajar para siswa, serta pendampingan intensif dari guru pembina.
Kepala SMP Mambaus Sholihin, Choirul Anam MPd, menyampaikan apresiasi atas prestasi yang diraih para santri dalam ajang kompetisi sains tersebut.
“Ini bukti santri pondok tidak hanya bisa mengaji, tetapi juga unggul di bidang sains. Terima kasih atas kerja keras ananda berdua, guru pembina, dan doa wali santri,” ujar Choirul Anam, Kamis (12/5/2026).
Menurut dia, prestasi tersebut menjadi motivasi penting bagi seluruh santri untuk terus meningkatkan kemampuan akademik tanpa meninggalkan pendidikan karakter dan nilai-nilai keagamaan yang selama ini menjadi fondasi utama pendidikan pesantren.
Ia menegaskan, SMP Mambaus Sholihin terus berkomitmen menghadirkan pendidikan yang seimbang antara penguatan ilmu agama dan penguasaan ilmu pengetahuan serta teknologi.

“Harapan kami, capaian ini bisa memotivasi santri lain untuk terus belajar dan berprestasi. Santri harus percaya diri bahwa mereka mampu bersaing dan unggul, baik dalam ilmu agama maupun ilmu pengetahuan,” katanya.
Ajang BIOS merupakan kompetisi sains yang diikuti pelajar tingkat SD hingga SMA se-Blitar Raya dan eks Karesidenan Kediri. Keikutsertaan SMP Mambaus Sholihin dalam ajang tersebut menjadi bagian dari upaya sekolah mendorong santri aktif berprestasi di bidang akademik.
Prestasi itu sekaligus membuktikan bahwa pendidikan pesantren mampu melahirkan generasi muda yang unggul dalam ilmu agama maupun sains.
