JATIMTIMES – Kecelakaan tunggal melibatkan satu unit truk boks bermuatan sosis terjadi di ruas Jalan Ir Soekarno, Kecamatan Junrejo, Kota Batu, pada Jumat (8/5/2026) siang. Truk bernomor polisi T 9717 DD tersebut menyeruduk hingga naik ke atas median jalan sekitar pukul 13.05 WIB. Truk boks ringsek setelah menabrak tiang rambu peringatan.

Peristiwa ini dialami oleh armada pengangkut frozen food asal Jombang yang baru saja menyelesaikan pengiriman di wilayah Malang dan Kota Batu. Beruntung, saat kejadian kondisi arus lalu lintas di jalur utama Junrejo tersebut dilaporkan sedang sepi sehingga tidak melibatkan kendaraan lain.

Arifin, kernet truk boks tersebut, menceritakan bahwa kejadian bermula saat kendaraan yang ia tumpangi hendak menempuh perjalanan pulang menuju Jombang. Sebelumnya, mereka telah mengirimkan pasokan sosis ke tiga titik, yakni di daerah Lowokwaru, Malang, dan toko grosir di Kota Batu.

"Kejadiannya baru saja, sekitar pukul 13.05 tadi. Kami sedang santai mau jalan pulang ke pabrik di Jombang setelah selesai kirim sosis," ujar Arifin saat ditemui di lokasi kejadian.

Arifin menduga rekan sopirnya dalam kondisi mengantuk sehingga tidak menyadari posisi kendaraan yang terlalu condong berhalusan ke arah kanan. Meskipun, sang sopir mengaku bukan pertama kali mengemudikan kendaraan melintasi jalur utama masuk Kota Batu tersebut.

“Kalau kirim lewat ke Batu sering, nggak sadar terlalu ke kanan ada median di tengah jalan. Tiba-tiba saja nyantap (menabrak) tiang pembatas dan langsung naik ke atas median," imbuhnya.

Meskipun laju kendaraan saat itu tidak terlalu kencang, hantaman pada tiang pembatas sempat membuat bagian depan truk mengalami kerusakan. Arifin sendiri hanya mengalami luka lecet ringan di pelipis kanan, namun sang sopir sempat mengalami kendala pada bagian kaki akibat terjepit kabin.

"Tadi kakinya sempat terjepit karena posisi benturan di sebelah kanan, tapi kondisinya masih aman dan sadar. Untungnya jalan lagi sepi, jadi tidak ada motor yang kena seruduk," tambah Arifin.

Hingga berita ini diturunkan, kendaraan masih dalam proses evakuasi agar tidak mengganggu arus lalu lintas di Jalan Ir Soekarno yang merupakan jalur utama wisatawan. Pihak Polres Batu juga masih melakukan pengaturan lalu lintas dan belum memberikan penjelasan terkait kecelakaan lebih lanjut.
