JATIMTIMES - Pemkot Batu memilih memperingati Hari Buruh Internasional 2026 dengan cara berbeda. Peringatan May Day di Kota Batu dikemas melalui ajang penghargaan ketenagakerjaan atau Nakers Award 2026 yang digelar di Graha Pancasila Balai Kota Among Tani, Rabu (6/5/2026) malam.

Penghargaan tersebut diberikan kepada perusahaan yang dinilai memiliki komitmen dalam menciptakan hubungan industrial yang sehat, memperhatikan kesejahteraan pekerja, serta mematuhi regulasi ketenagakerjaan. Kegiatan ini juga menjadi bentuk apresiasi Pemkot Batu terhadap dunia usaha yang mampu menjaga harmonisasi antara perusahaan dan tenaga kerja.

Plt Wali Kota Batu, Heli Suyanto mengatakan momentum May Day tidak hanya menjadi ruang penyampaian aspirasi pekerja, tetapi juga kesempatan memperkuat kolaborasi antara pemerintah, pengusaha, dan buruh.

“Kami ingin membangun hubungan industrial yang sehat, berkeadilan, dan berpihak pada kesejahteraan tenaga kerja terutama di Kota Batu,” kata Heli.

Menurutnya, perusahaan yang menerima penghargaan tidak hanya dinilai dari sisi bisnis, tetapi juga dari kepatuhan terhadap aturan ketenagakerjaan, perlindungan pekerja, hingga kemampuan membangun komunikasi yang baik dengan karyawan.

“Penghargaan ini juga menjadi dorongan moral bagi seluruh perusahaan di Kota Batu untuk terus meningkatkan kepatuhan terhadap regulasi serta membangun hubungan industrial yang harmonis dan berkelanjutan,” imbuh Heli.

Dalam Nakers Award 2026, kategori perusahaan menengah untuk bidang Kepatuhan Ketenagakerjaan diraih Purnama Hotel. Sementara kategori Kelembagaan Hubungan Industrial diberikan kepada The Onsen Hot Spring Resort Songgoriti dan kategori Dialog Sosial diraih Lippo Plaza Batu.

Untuk kategori Kesejahteraan dan Perlindungan Pekerja perusahaan menengah diraih Zam Zam Hotel and Convention Batu. Sedangkan kategori Inovasi Hubungan Industrial diberikan kepada Royal Orchids Garden Hotel Condominium.

Sementara pada kategori perusahaan besar, penghargaan Kepatuhan Ketenagakerjaan diraih Rumah Sakit Baptis Batu. Kategori Kelembagaan Hubungan Industrial diberikan kepada Klub Bunga Theme Park Hotel dan kategori Dialog Sosial diraih The Singhasari Resort.

Kategori Kesejahteraan dan Perlindungan Pekerja perusahaan besar diberikan kepada Taman Rekreasi Selecta. Sedangkan penghargaan Inovasi Hubungan Industrial diraih Kusuma Agrowisata Resort and Convention.

Selain memberikan penghargaan, Pemkot Batu juga terus mendorong perluasan perlindungan tenaga kerja melalui program Jaminan Kecelakaan Kerja (JKK) dan Jaminan Kematian (JKM) bersama BPJS Ketenagakerjaan. Langkah tersebut dilakukan agar pekerja di Kota Batu mendapatkan perlindungan kerja yang lebih optimal dan berkelanjutan.
