JATIMTIMES - Pemerintah Kota (Pemkot) Malang memilih jalur dialog untuk meredam potensi aksi demonstrasi buruh pada peringatan Hari Buruh atau May Day 2026. Wali Kota Malang Wahyu Hidayat menyebut forum bersama buruh, pengusaha, dan Forkopimda berlangsung cair dan menghasilkan sejumlah solusi.
Hal tersebut salah satunya dilakukan dalam forum bertajuk Kolaborasi Bersama Mewujudkan Kemajuan Industri dan Kesejahteraan Pekerja, Jumat (1/5/2026). Pada kesempatan tersebut, Wali Kota Malang, Wahyu Hidyat mengatakan, berbagai keluhan buruh sudah tersampaikan sehingga tidak perlu dibawa ke jalan melalui aksi demonstrasi.

“Semua tadi malam sudah terfasilitasi dengan baik. Mereka juga sudah curhat dan wadul segala macam, dan alhamdulillah sudah terselesaikan,” kata Wahyu, Jumat (1/5/2026).
Ia menjelaskan forum tersebut juga dihadiri unsur Forkopimda dan Ketua DPRD Kota Malang. Pemerintah kemudian membuka dialog terkait persoalan hubungan industrial hingga kondisi ketenagakerjaan terkini.
Sejumlah isu yang dibahas meliputi penyelesaian hubungan industrial, rencana Undang-Undang Ketenagakerjaan, peran LKS Tripartit, hingga dampak efisiensi ekonomi terhadap pekerja dan perusahaan.
Di sisi lain, kalangan pengusaha juga menyampaikan kekhawatiran soal stabilitas iklim investasi di Kota Malang. Mereka meminta seluruh pihak menjaga kondusivitas daerah agar investor tetap merasa nyaman menanamkan modal.
Menurut Wahyu, situasi kota yang tidak kondusif dapat memengaruhi minat investor maupun sektor pariwisata. Apalagi, Kota Malang saat ini menjadi salah satu tujuan wisata di Jawa Timur.

“Kalau kotanya tidak nyaman, pasti investasi juga akan berpikir datang ke Kota Malang,” ujarnya.
Dalam beberapa forum yang telah digelar Pemkot Malang bersama pengusaha dan forum buruh, didapati sejumlah permasalahan dan keresahan yang selama ini dirasakan. Mulai persoalan hubungan industrial, status pekerja, hingga kekhawatiran terhadap kondisi ekonomi dan ketenagakerjaan.
