JATIMTIMES - Penutupan Jawa Timur Changemaker Academy (JAYCA) Angkatan 1 digelar dengan rangkaian kegiatan penyematan penghargaan internasional The Duke of Edinburgh di Pendapa Bupati, Sabtu (25/4/2026). Kegiatan ini menjadi bagian dari upaya mendorong lahirnya generasi muda yang berintegritas dan memiliki daya saing global.

Acara tersebut dihadiri Wakil Bupati (Wabup) Bondowoso, As’ad Yahya Syafi’i, yang mewakili Bupati Bondowoso. Dalam sambutannya, ia menyampaikan apresiasi kepada Ashoka Indonesia dan para mitra atas terselenggaranya program JAYCA.

Menurutnya, program ini tidak hanya berfokus pada pelatihan, tetapi juga pembinaan karakter, kepemimpinan, dan kepedulian sosial generasi muda. “Program ini telah menempa para peserta melalui proses mentoring dan pengalaman nyata, sehingga mereka siap menjadi agen perubahan di lingkungan masing-masing,” ujarnya.

Dalam kegiatan tersebut, peserta JAYCA Angkatan 1 juga menerima penghargaan internasional The Duke of Edinburgh sebagai bentuk pengakuan atas dedikasi dan capaian mereka.

Wakil Bupati menyatakan bahwa prestasi tersebut tidak hanya menjadi kebanggaan individu, tetapi juga membawa nama baik Kabupaten Bondowoso.

Ia berharap capaian ini dapat memotivasi generasi muda lainnya untuk terus berkontribusi bagi masyarakat. Pemerintah daerah, lanjutnya, berkomitmen mendukung keberlanjutan program serupa agar semakin banyak anak muda mendapatkan kesempatan pengembangan diri. “Ke depan, kami berharap JAYCA dapat terus berlanjut dan menjangkau lebih luas, sehingga lahir lebih banyak changemaker muda yang siap membangun daerah,” pungkasnya.
