JATIMTIMES (STIE) Malangkuçeçwara juga diarahkan pada akses pembelajaran global melalui integrasi platform Coursera . Skema ini tidak lagi diposisikan sebagai pelengkap, melainkan menjadi bagian penting dari ekosistem akademik yang mendorong mahasiswa belajar melampaui batas ruang kelas.
Melalui Coursera, mahasiswa dapat mengikuti materi dari berbagai universitas dunia dengan pendekatan berbasis studi kasus. Setiap topik tidak berhenti pada pemahaman teori, tetapi langsung diikuti simulasi persoalan nyata yang mengasah kemampuan analitis. Sistem evaluasi modular juga membuat proses belajar lebih terstruktur, karena hampir di setiap bab terdapat pengujian yang memastikan mahasiswa benar-benar memahami materi sebelum melanjutkan ke tahap berikutnya.

Ia juga menegaskan bahwa hasil pembelajaran dari platform tersebut dapat dikonversi ke dalam sistem SKS, sehingga tetap selaras dengan kurikulum kampus.
Implementasi ini berjalan beriringan dengan upaya kampus memperkuat hard skill dan soft skill mahasiswa melalui berbagai program lain. Namun, kehadiran Coursera memberikan nilai tambah karena membuka akses terhadap perspektif global, sekaligus memperkenalkan standar pembelajaran internasional yang lebih aplikatif.
Dampak konkret dari integrasi tersebut terlihat pada capaian Arsyelia Gantari sebagai salah satu wisudawan terbaik semeter gasal tahun akademik 2025/2026. Ia mampu menyelesaikan studi dalam waktu 3,5 tahun dengan IPK 3,94, sebuah capaian yang tidak hanya ditopang oleh strategi akademik, tetapi juga oleh kemampuannya memanfaatkan berbagai sumber pembelajaran, termasuk Coursera.
Arsyelia mengatur ritme studinya secara agresif sejak awal. Pada semester tujuh, ia mengambil langkah yang tidak umum dengan menjalani program magang sekaligus menyelesaikan skripsi. “Saya di semester tujuh mengambil internship sekaligus skripsi. Itu memang extra effort , tapi sangat membantu untuk lulus lebih cepat,” ungkapnya. Ia menjalani magang di sebuah perusahaan holding outsourcing , PT Alpha, yang memberinya pengalaman langsung terkait dinamika operasional bisnis. Bahkan, masa magangnya sempat diperpanjang karena dinilai memberikan kontribusi positif.
Pengalaman lapangan tersebut kemudian dipadukan dengan pendekatan akademik yang ia peroleh dari Coursera. Ia menilai metode pembelajaran berbasis studi kasus di platform itu membuatnya lebih mudah memahami konsep sekaligus mengaitkannya dengan praktik nyata. “Di sana, setiap materi langsung disertai study case , jadi lebih mudah dipahami. Ujiannya juga modular, hampir setiap bab ada evaluasi,” katanya.

Pemahaman tersebut berkontribusi dalam penyusunan skripsinya yang mengangkat isu green accounting, dengan fokus pada penerapan prinsip reduce , reuse, recycle terhadap efisiensi biaya dan keberlanjutan usaha di PT Semen Indonesia. Topik ini menuntut kemampuan analisis yang tidak hanya teoritis, tetapi juga kontekstual terhadap praktik industri yang terus bergerak ke arah keberlanjutan.
Bagi Arsyelia, kombinasi antara pengalaman magang dan pembelajaran digital global menciptakan pola belajar yang lebih komprehensif. Ia tidak hanya memahami materi dari sisi akademik, tetapi juga mampu melihat implementasinya secara langsung di dunia kerja. Hal ini menjadi salah satu faktor yang mempercepat penyelesaian studinya sekaligus memperkuat kualitas hasil belajarnya.
Model pembelajaran yang diterapkan STIE Malangkuçeçwara melalui integrasi Coursera menunjukkan pergeseran arah pendidikan tinggi yang semakin adaptif. Mahasiswa didorong untuk aktif mengakses pengetahuan global, menguji pemahaman melalui studi kasus, serta mengaitkannya dengan pengalaman praktis. Pendekatan ini tidak hanya mempercepat proses belajar, tetapi juga membentuk kesiapan yang lebih konkret dalam menghadapi tuntutan dunia profesional.
