JATIMTIMES - Praktik penyalahgunaan bahan bakar minyak (BBM) bersubsidi masih saja terjadi dan kerap merugikan masyarakat luas yang benar-benar membutuhkan. Merespons keresahan tersebut, jajaran Satreskrim Polres Situbondo berhasil membongkar kasus dugaan penyalahgunaan niaga dan pengangkutan BBM jenis Pertalite di Desa Landangan, Kecamatan Kapongan, Kabupaten Situbondo.

Dalam pengungkapan kasus ini, pihak kepolisian mengamankan seorang pria berinisial JHS, seorang wiraswasta yang merupakan warga Kampung Laok Bindung, Desa Landangan. Pelaku ditangkap sekira pukul 16.00 WIB tanpa perlawanan.

Kapolres Situbondo AKBP Bayu Anuwar Sidiqie melalui Kasat Reskrim AKP Agung Hartawan menjelaskan bahwa penangkapan ini bermula dari adanya laporan masyarakat. Warga merasa curiga dengan aktivitas pengangkutan BBM di wilayah mereka. Mendapat laporan tersebut, tim dari Unit II Tindak Pidana Khusus (Pidsus) langsung turun ke lapangan untuk melakukan penyelidikan.

"Setelah dicek di lokasi, ternyata benar anggota mendapati pelaku sedang menggunakan satu unit mobil sedan Honda Civic berwarna biru metalik dengan nopol P-1019-DO untuk mengangkut BBM subsidi," jelas AKP Agung, Senin (20/4/2026).

Modus yang digunakan pelaku adalah membeli Pertalite di SPBU Landangan dengan harga normal Rp 10.000 per liter. Untuk mengelabui petugas dan memudahkan pemindahan, pelaku menggunakan bantuan corong bensin yang disambung dengan selang sepanjang 50 sentimeter untuk mengalirkan bahan bakar ke dalam jerigen yang tertata di bagasi mobil yang telah dimodifikasi.

Dari tempat kejadian perkara (TKP), petugas menyita barang bukti berupa enam buah jerigen berkapasitas masing-masing 30 liter (empat warna biru dan dua warna abu-abu). Seluruh jerigen tersebut ditemukan dalam kondisi terisi penuh Pertalite, dengan total mencapai 180 liter.

Guna proses hukum lebih lanjut, pelaku beserta seluruh barang bukti termasuk mobil sedan, jerigen berisi BBM, dan selang kini telah diamankan ke Mapolres Situbondo.

"Saat ini penyidik masih melakukan pemeriksaan secara intensif dan melengkapi administrasi. Ke depannya, kami juga akan berkoordinasi dengan saksi ahli dari BPH Migas serta jaksa penuntut jmum (JPU) terkait kasus ini," tambah kasat reskrim.

Atas perbuatannya, pelaku terancam dijerat dengan Pasal 55 Undang-Undang RI Nomor 22 Tahun 2001 tentang Minyak dan Gas Bumi, yang telah diubah melalui ketentuan dalam Undang-Undang Cipta Kerja.

Melalui pengungkapan kasus ini, kepolisian juga mengimbau kepada seluruh masyarakat untuk ikut proaktif mengawasi lingkungan sekitarnya
