JATIMTIMES - Upaya pengembangan Kota Madiun di berbagai sektor terus digeliatkan. Plt Wali Kota Madiun F. Bagus Panuntun menunjukkan komitmennya dalam menata kota melalui kegiatan gowes bersama jajaran Organisasi Perangkat Daerah (OPD) di Kota Madiun, Jumat (17/4/2026).
Tak sekadar berolahraga, kegiatan ini dimanfaatkan untuk meninjau langsung berbagai titik strategis sekaligus memastikan program penataan kota berjalan optimal. Rute gowes dimulai dari kawasan Pasar Kotak hingga Pilangbango.

Sepanjang perjalanan, Bagus bersama rombongan berhenti di sejumlah lokasi untuk melihat kondisi lapangan, khususnya terkait penataan pasar dan lingkungan sekitar. “Gowes ini bukan hanya olahraga, tetapi juga cara kami memastikan langsung kondisi di lapangan. Kita ingin penataan kota berjalan maksimal dan dirasakan manfaatnya oleh masyarakat,” ujarnya di sela kegiatan.
Salah satu fokus perhatian adalah pengembangan potensi wisata ziarah di makam Ki Hardjo Oetomo. Pemerintah Kota Madiun berencana mendorong kawasan tersebut agar lebih representatif dan nyaman dikunjungi, sehingga mampu menjadi destinasi wisata religi yang unggul.
“Kita ingin makam Ki Hardjo Oetomo ini bisa menjadi destinasi wisata ziarah yang tertata baik, bersih, dan memiliki daya tarik. Ini bagian dari pengembangan potensi lokal,” tambahnya.
Tak berhenti di situ, penguatan identitas Kota Madiun juga menjadi perhatian serius. Dalam rangkaian kegiatan tersebut, Bagus turut mengunjungi empat perguruan pencak silat sebagai bentuk dukungan terhadap pelestarian budaya sekaligus memperkuat karakter daerah.
Menurutnya, sinergi antara pemerintah, perguruan silat, dan masyarakat menjadi kunci dalam menjaga citra Kota Pendekar yang selama ini melekat kuat pada Madiun. “Kota Madiun dikenal sebagai Kota Pendekar. Identitas ini harus kita jaga bersama, sekaligus kita kembangkan menjadi kekuatan budaya dan potensi wisata,” tegasnya.

Melalui kegiatan gowes ini, Pemerintah Kota Madiun terus mendorong kolaborasi lintas sektor dalam mewujudkan kota yang bersih, tertata, dan berkarakter. Penataan infrastruktur, pengembangan potensi wisata, hingga penguatan budaya lokal menjadi bagian dari upaya berkelanjutan menuju Madiun yang lebih maju.
